2K Love Story- பார்த்துப் பழகிய கதை; பெயரளவில் மட்டுமே இருக்கும் `2கே வைப்ஸ்’!
2கே இளைஞர்களான கார்த்திக்கும் (ஜெகவீர்), மோனியும் (மீனாட்சி கோவிந்தராஜன்) இணைந்து ‘ப்ரி வெட்டிங் ஃபோட்டோஷூட்’ நிறுவனம் ஒன்றை நடத்தி வருகிறார்கள். பள்ளிக் காலத்திலிருந்தே இணை பிரியாத நண்பர்களான இருவரும் வருங்காலத்தில் காதலில் விழுவார்கள் எனச் சுற்றியிருப்பவர்கள் சொல்லிக்கொண்டே இருந்தாலும், அவற்றைப் பொருட்படுத்தாமல் தங்களின் நட்பைத் தொடர்கிறார்கள்.
இந்நிலையில், கார்த்திக்கின் காதலியாக பவித்ரா இவர்களின் உறவிற்குள் நுழைகிறார். இதனால், இம்மூவரின் உறவிற்குள்ளும் உரசல்கள் முளை விடத் தொடங்குகின்றன. சில பல சிக்கல்கள், இழப்புகளுக்குப் பிறகு கார்த்திக்கிற்கும் மோனிக்கும் இடையே காதல் மலர்ந்ததா அல்லது நட்புடனே இருந்தார்களா போன்ற கேள்விகளுக்குப் பதில் சொல்லியிருக்கிறது சுசீந்திரன் இயக்கியிருக்கும் இந்த `2கே லவ் ஸ்டோரி’.
கலர் கலரான சட்டை, பேண்ட், கூலிங் க்ளாஸ் சகிதமாகவே துள்ளித் துள்ளி வலம் வந்து தொடக்கத்தில் மட்டும் ஆறுதல் தரும் அறிமுக நடிகர் ஜெகவீர், இன்னும் சிரத்தை எடுத்து இக்கதாபாத்திரத்தை அணுகியிருக்கலாம். அபூர்வமாக வரும் ஒரு சில உணர்வுபூர்வமான தருணங்களைக் கூட தேமேவென நகர்த்தியிருக்கிறார். படத்தின் கருவைப் பிடித்து வைத்திருக்கும் கதாபாத்திரத்திற்கு ஓரளவிற்கு நியாயம் செய்திருக்கிறார் மீனாட்சி கோவிந்தராஜன்.
பல காட்சிகளைத் தூக்கி நிறுத்தப் போராடியிருக்கிறார் மீனாட்சி. படம் முழுவதும் பேசிக்கொண்டே இருக்கும் பால சரவணன் சில இடங்களில் மட்டும் சிரிக்க வைக்கிறார். கார்த்திக்கின் காதலியாக வருபவர், ஜெயபிரகாஷ், நிரஞ்சன் ஜெயபிரகாஷ், ஹரிதா ஆகியோர் கொடுத்த வேலையைச் செய்திருக்கிறார்கள். சிங்கம்புலி – ஜி.பி.முத்து கூட்டணியின் ‘காமெடி பயிற்சி’ சில நொடிகள் மட்டும் கிச்சுக் கிச்சு மூட்டுகிறது.
வழக்கமான ‘காதலன் – காதலி – காதலனின் தோழி’ ஒன்லைனை 2கே ஃப்ளேவரில் பரிமாற முயன்றிருக்கிறார் இயக்குநர் சுசீந்திரன். ஆனால், ஆழமில்லாத கதாபாத்திரங்கள், மேலோட்டமான காட்சிகள், செயற்கையான ஸ்டேஜிங், புதுமையில்லாத திருப்பங்கள், வழக்கொழிந்து போன எமோஷன் காட்சிகள் எனச் சறுக்கல்கள் எழுத்தில் நிறைந்திருக்கின்றன.
மோனி கதாபாத்திரத்தின் முதிர்ச்சியும் தெளிவும் தொடக்கத்தில் கவனிக்க வைக்கிறது. முக்கியமாக, பொசஸிவ்னஸ் குறித்து மோனி விளக்கும் இடம் ‘வாவ்’ ரகம்! ஆனால், இரண்டாம் பாதியில் அக்கதாபாத்திரம் தடம் புரண்டு, குழப்பமான நிலையை அடைந்து ஏமாற்றுகிறது. இடைவேளை வரை ஒரு மையத்தை நோக்கி நகரும் திரைக்கதை, அதற்குப் பின் வெவ்வேறு வழிகளில் கண்ணாமூச்சி ஆட்டம் ஆடத் தொடங்குகிறது.
வார்த்தைக்கு வார்த்தை 2கே என்று எல்லா கதாபாத்திரங்களும் சொல்கின்றனவே தவிர, அந்தத் தலைமுறையின் வாழ்வியல், உறவுச் சிக்கல், உளவியல் பார்வை என அவர்களின் பாடுகள் இதில் எதுவுமே இல்லை! மாறாக, முந்தைய தலைமுறைகளில் ஏற்கெனவே இருந்த முற்போக்கு சிந்தனைகளை மட்டும் 2கே என்ற பெயரில் பேசியிருப்பது பெரிய ஏமாற்றமே!
2K Love Story- A familiar story; `2K vibes’ that exist only in name!
2K youths Karthik (Jegaveer) and Moni (Meenakshi Govindarajan) run a ‘pre-wedding photoshoot’ company together. The two, who have been inseparable since school days, continue their friendship regardless of what people around them say that they will fall in love in the future.
In this situation, Pavithra enters their relationship as Karthik’s girlfriend. Due to this, frictions start to arise in the relationship of these three. `2K Love Story’, directed by Suseendran, answers questions like whether love blossomed between Karthik and Moni after some problems and losses or whether they were just friends.
Debutant actor Jagaveer, who only provides comfort in the beginning by wandering around in a colorful shirt, pants, and cooling glasses, could have approached this character with more effort. He has even moved a few rare emotional moments in a timely manner. Meenakshi Govindarajan has done justice to the character that holds the essence of the film to some extent.
Meenakshi has struggled to hold back many scenes. Bala Saravanan, who keeps talking throughout the film, makes us laugh only at a few places. Jayaprakash, Niranjan Jayaprakash, and Haritha, who plays Karthik’s girlfriend, have done the job given to them. The ‘comedy training’ of the Singampuli – G.P.Muthu alliance is only funny for a few seconds.
Director Suchinthran has tried to serve the usual ‘lover – girlfriend – lover’ online in a 2K flavor. But, the writing is full of flaws such as shallow characters, superficial scenes, artificial staging, uninventive twists, and outdated emotional scenes.
The maturity and clarity of Moni’s character is noticeable in the beginning. Especially, the part where Moni explains about possessiveness is ‘wow’! But, in the second half, the character goes off track, reaches a confusing state, and deceives. The screenplay moves towards a center until the interval, and after that, it starts playing hide and seek in different ways.
Not only do all the characters say 2K word for word, but there is none of the suffering of that generation, such as the lifestyle, relationship problems, and psychological outlook! On the contrary, it is a big disappointment that only the progressive thoughts that were already present in previous generations are spoken in the name of 2K!
