இயக்குநர் ஷங்கரின் இயக்கத்தில் ‘கேம் சேஞ்சர்’ திரைப்படம் பொங்கல் வெளியீடாக வெளிவருகிறது. இந்த நிலையில் இயக்குநர் சங்கரை சந்தித்து பல்வேறு கேள்விகளை முன்வைத்தோம்
`2024 ஆம் ஆண்டில் உங்களை இம்ப்ரஸ் செய்த படம் என்ன?’
“சட்டென்று கேட்டால் ஞாபகம் வர படம் `லப்பர் பந்து’ தான். ரப்பர் பந்து ரொம்ப அருமையாக இருந்தது. படம் பார்த்து ரொம்ப ஆச்சரியப்பட்டேன். படத்தினுடைய மேக்கிங் ஆகட்டும், ஸ்கிரிப்ட் ரைட்டிங் மிகவும் ஆச்சரியப்படுத்தியது. நான் ரொம்ப ஆச்சரியப்பட்டது தினேஷனுடைய நடிப்பை பார்த்துதான்.
செம ஆக்டிங் அது, அந்த மாதிரி ஒரு எந்த ஒரு ஆக்டருடைய சாயலும் இல்லாமல் நடிக்கிறார் அவர். தனியா தெரிகிறார் அவர். அலட்டாம நடிக்கிறார். ஆனால் கரெக்டாக நடிக்கிறார். இன்னும் கேட்டால் நடிக்கிறாரா என்று தெரியவில்லை. ரொம்ப ஒரு அற்புதமான ஒரு நடிப்பாக இருக்கிறது. ஐ வாஸ் வெரி மச் இம்பரஸ்ட் வித் தினேஷ்.
நான் ஒரு நல்ல படத்தை பார்த்த பிறகு ட்வீட் செய்வேன், ஒன் ஹவர் டைம் கிடைத்தது என்றால் ட்வீட் செய்து விடுவேன். ஆனால் கிடைக்கவில்லை என்றால் மிஸ் செய்து விடுவேன். சொன்ன படங்களை விட சொல்லாமல் ட்வீட் செய்யாமல் இருந்த படங்கள் தான் ஜாஸ்தி.
அதில் ஒரு படம்தான் லப்பர் பந்து. இந்த சந்தர்ப்பத்தில் அந்தத் திரைப்படத்தின் உடைய மொத்த டீமுக்கும் என்னுடைய வாழ்த்துக்களை தெரிவித்துக் கொள்கிறேன். குறிப்பிட்டு தினேஷ் அவர்களுக்கும் வாழ்த்துக்கள். பர்பாமென்ஸ்ல சுவாசிகா… அவருடைய நடிப்பு, பிரமாதமாக இருந்தது.”
`அடுத்து இந்தியன் 3, வேள்பாரி?’
“ஆமாம் எல்லா பணிகளும் உடனே ஆரம்பித்து விடும். கேம் சேஞ்சர் ரிலீஸ் ஆனதும் இந்தியன் 3 பற்றிய டிஸ்கஷன் சென்று, அதனுடைய வேலைகள் தொடங்கிவிடும்.”
“பயோபிக் ஏதாவது எடுக்க வேண்டும் என்ற ஆசை இருக்கிறதா சார்?”
“இதுவரைக்கும் அந்த ஆசை இல்லை. எடுத்தால் ரஜினி சாரை வைத்து தான் எடுக்க வேண்டும். நீங்கள் கேட்ட உடனே இந்த ஸ்பார்க் எனக்கு கிடைத்தது, ரஜினி சாரை வைத்து ஒரு பயோ பிக் படம் எடுக்க வேண்டும் என்ற எண்ணம் இப்போது தான் தோன்றியது.”
`சோசியல் மீடியாக்களில் ட்ரோல்கள் பயங்கரமாக சென்று கொண்டிருக்கின்றன, ஒரு சீனியர் கிரியேட்டராக இந்த ஜெனரேஷனுக்கு நீங்கள் சொல்வது என்ன?’
“விமர்சனம் மிகவும் தேவையான ஒன்று. அதை தவிர்க்கவும் முடியாது. விமர்சனத்தை தாண்டி யாருமே கிடையாது. யார் வேண்டுமானாலும் யாரையும் விமர்சனம் செய்யலாம். அதிலேயே நாம் தங்கி இருக்கக் கூடாது. அதில் உள்ள நல்ல விஷயங்களை எடுத்துக் கொண்டு, அடுத்தடுத்த வேலைகளில் அதனை நாம் இம்பிளிமென்ட் செய்ய வேண்டும்.”
“புஷ்பா 2 படம் பார்த்தீர்களா?”
“பார்த்தேன். நல்லா இருந்தது. அந்த கதாபாத்திரத்திற்கு ஒரு நல்ல ஷேப் கொடுத்துள்ளார்கள். அது பெரிய ரீச் ஆகி உள்ளது. அவர் என்ன பண்றார் என்று எல்லாம் செகண்டரி, ஆனால் எல்லாருக்கும் பிடிக்கிற ஒரு கதாபாத்திரமாக ஷேப் செய்துள்ளனர்.
ஆல் ஓவர் கன்ட்ரி எல்லோருக்கும் அது பிடித்துப்போன கதாபாத்திரமாக உள்ளது. சுகுமார் மேல ஒரு எதிர்பார்ப்பு இருந்தது, அந்த எதிர்பார்ப்புக்கு தகுந்தார் போல ஒரு ரைட்டிங் எழுதி உள்ளார். என்ன எதிர்பார்த்தார்களோ அதனை கரெக்ட்டா தியேட்டரில் கொடுத்து ரிசல்ட் கொடுத்துள்ளார். ”

Director Shankar’s film ‘Game Changer’ is releasing as a Pongal release. In this context, we met director Shankar and posed various questions
`What is the film that impressed you in 2024?’
`If you ask me, the film that comes to mind immediately isRubber Bandhu’. Rubber Bandhu was very good. I was very surprised after watching the film. The making of the film, the script writing was very surprising. I was very surprised by Dinesh’s performance.
It is pure acting, he acts without any kind of actor. He looks unique. He acts flawlessly. But he acts correctly. If you ask me, I don’t know if he is still acting. It is a very wonderful performance. I was very impressed with Dinesh.
I tweet after watching a good film, if I get one hour time, I tweet. But if I don’t get it, I miss it. The films that I didn’t tweet about are more than the films I mentioned.
One of those films is Lapper Bandhu. On this occasion, I would like to express my congratulations to the entire team of that film. Congratulations to Dinesh in particular. Performance is amazing… His performance was amazing.”
`Next Indian 3, Velpaari?’
“Yes, all the work will start immediately. Once Game Changer is released, the discussion about Indian 3 will go on and the work will start.”
“Do you have any desire to do a biopic, sir?”
“I don’t have that desire yet. If you do it, it should be done with Rajini sir. I got this spark as soon as you asked, the idea of making a biopic on Rajini sir just came to me.”
`Trolls are rampant on social media, what do you tell this generation as a senior creator?’
“Criticism is very necessary. It cannot be avoided. No one is above criticism. Anyone can criticize anyone. We should not stay there. We should take the good things in it and implement them in our next work.”
“Have you seen the movie Pushpa 2?”
“I saw it. It was good. They have given a good shape to that character. It has a big reach. What he does is secondary, but they have shaped it into a character that everyone likes.
All Over Country is a character that everyone likes. There was an expectation on Sukumar, and he has written a writing that seems to live up to that expectation. “He delivered what people expected in the theater and it delivered results.”
