“HMPV புதிய வைரஸ் அல்ல… யாரும் கவலைப்பட வேண்டாம்!” – மத்திய சுகாதாரத்துறை அமைச்சர் விளக்கம்
சீனா, மலேசியா ஆகிய நாடுகளில் பரவிவரும் Human Metapneumovirus எனும் HMP வைரஸ் இந்தியாவில் 3 பேருக்குப் பரவியிருக்கிறது. கர்நாடகாவில் இரண்டு குழந்தைகளுக்கும், குஜராத்தில் ஒரு குழந்தைக்கும் HMPV தொற்று ஏற்பட்டிருக்கிறது.
இது பற்றி கர்நாடக சுகாதார அமைச்சர் தினேஷ் குண்டு ராவ், “HMPV தொற்று இருக்கும் குழந்தைகள் இயல்பாக இருக்கின்றன. யாரும் அச்சப்படத் தேவையில்லை. இது ஏற்கெனவே இருக்கின்ற வைரஸ்தான். இப்போதைக்கு எந்த எமெர்ஜென்சியும் இல்லை. மக்கள் நிதானமாக இருக்க வேண்டும்.” என்று தெளிவுபடுத்தியிருந்தார்.
இந்த நிலையில், மத்திய சுகாதாரத்துறை அமைச்சர் ஜே.பி.நட்டா இந்த வைரஸ் தொற்று குறித்து விளக்கமளித்து வீடியோ ஒன்றை வெளியிட்டிருக்கிறார்.
அந்த வீடியோவில், “HMPV புதிய வைரஸ் அல்ல என்று சுகாதார நிபுணர்கள் தெளிவுபடுத்தியிருக்கின்றனர். இந்த வைரஸ் முதன்முதலில் 2001-ல் கண்டறியப்பட்டது. பல ஆண்டுகளாக இந்த வைரஸ் பரவிக்கொண்டுதான் இருக்கிறது.
இந்த வைரஸ் சுவாசித்தல் மூலம் காற்றின் வழியாகப் பரவுகிறது. இது எல்லா வயதினரையும் பாதிக்கலாம். குளிர்காலத்தில் இது வேகமாகப் பரவுகிறது. சமீபத்தில் சீனாவில் ஏற்பட்ட HMPV தொற்றுகளால், ICMR மற்றும் தேசிய நோய் கட்டுப்பாட்டு மையம் ஆகியவை சீனா மற்றும் அண்டை நாடுகளின் நிலைமையை உன்னிப்பாகக் கண்காணித்து வருகின்றன.

உலக சுகாதார அமைப்பும் (WHO) இதைக் கவனித்து வருகிறது. இந்தியாவில் பொதுவான சுவாச வைரஸ் நோய்க்கிருமிகளில் எந்த அதிகரிப்பும் காணப்படவில்லை. நாட்டின் சுகாதார அமைப்புகள் விழிப்புடன் இருக்கின்றன.
மேலும், எந்தவொரு சுகாதார சவால்களுக்கும் உடனடியாகப் பதிலளிக்க நாடு தயாராக இருக்கிறது. எனவே, யாரும் கவலைப்பட வேண்டாம். நிலைமையை உன்னிப்பாகக் கவனித்து வருகிறோம்.” என்று கூறினார்.
“HMPV is not a new virus… No one should worry!” – Union Health Minister explains
Human Metapneumovirus (HMP), which is spreading in China and Malaysia, has infected 3 people in India. Two children in Karnataka and one in Gujarat have been infected with HMPV.
Karnataka Health Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao had clarified about this, “Children infected with HMPV are normal. No one needs to panic. This is a pre-existing virus. There is no emergency at the moment. People should remain calm.”
In this situation, Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda has released a video explaining about this virus infection.
In that video, “Health experts have clarified that HMPV is not a new virus. This virus was first detected in 2001. This virus has been spreading for many years.
This virus spreads through the air through inhalation. It can affect people of all ages. It spreads rapidly during winter. With the recent outbreak of HMPV cases in China, ICMR and the National Centre for Disease Control are closely monitoring the situation in China and neighbouring countries.

The World Health Organization (WHO) is also monitoring this. There has been no increase in common respiratory viral pathogens in India. The country’s health systems are on alert.
Also, the country is ready to respond to any health challenges immediately. So, there is no need for anyone to worry. We are monitoring the situation closely.”
