Romantic films- `ஹீரோக்களுடன் டூயட் பாடுறதை 20 வருடங்களுக்கு முன்பே நிறுத்திட்டேன்’ – ஜோதிகா
காதல் திரைப்படங்களில் நடிப்பதை 20 வருடங்களுக்கு முன்பே நிறுத்திவிட்டேன் என்று ஜோதிகா தெரிவித்திருக்கிறார்.
‘36 வயதினிலே’ படம் மூலம் சினிமாவிற்கு ரீ என்ட்ரி கொடுத்த ஜோதிகா பெண்களுக்கு முக்கியத்துவம் கொடுக்கும் கதாபாத்திரங்களில் நடித்து வருகிறார். தமிழைத் தொடர்ந்து பாலிவுட்டில் அதிக கவனம் செலுத்தி படங்கள் மற்றும் வெப் சீரிஸ்களில் நடித்து வருகிறார். கடந்த வருடம் பாலிவுட்டில் அவரது நடிப்பில் வெளியான ‘சைத்தான்’ மற்றும் ‘ஸ்ரீகாந்த்’ஆகிய படங்கள் வரவேற்பைப் பெற்றிருந்தது.
இதனைத் தொடர்ந்து அவரது நடிப்பில் தற்போது ‘டப்பா கார்ட்டெல்’ என்ற வெப்சீரிஸ் வெளியாக இருக்கிறது. இந்நிலையில் இந்த வெப்சீரிஸின் புரொமோஷன் நிகழ்ச்சி நடைபெற்றது. அதில் பேசிய ஜோதிகா, “காதல் திரைப்படங்கள், ஹீரோக்களுடன் டூயட் பாடுவது என்பதை 20 வருடங்களுக்கு முன்பே நான் நிறுத்திவிட்டேன்.
எனக்கு 47 வயது ஆகிறது. இன்னும் ஹீரோக்களைச் சுற்றி ஓடுவது போன்ற காதலை மையப்படுத்தி நடிக்கும் படங்கள் எல்லாம் எனக்குப் பிடிக்காமல் போய்விட்டது. இப்போது பெண்களுக்கு முக்கியத்துவம் கொடுக்கும் கேரக்டர்களைத்தான் தேர்ந்தெடுத்து நடித்து வருகிறேன். ‘டப்பா கார்ட்டெல்’ வெப் சீரிஸும் அப்படி ஒரு கதை அம்சத்தைக் கொண்டதுதான்.
குறிப்பாக என்னுடைய கேரக்டரும் இந்த வெப் சீரிஸில் ஆழமாக இருக்கும். இந்தப் படக்குழுவில் 80 சதவிகிதம் பெண்கள்தான் பணிபுரிந்திருக்கிறார்கள். அது மிகவும் மகிழ்ச்சியாக இருக்கிறது” என்று கூறியிருக்கிறார்.

Jyothika has said that she stopped acting in romantic films 20 years ago.
Jyothika, who made her re-entry into cinema with the film ’36 Vayathinile’, is acting in roles that emphasize women. After Tamil, she is focusing more on Bollywood and acting in films and web series. Last year, the films ‘Saithaan’ and ‘Sreekanth’ in Bollywood were well received.
Following this, a web series called ‘Dappa Kartel’ is currently being released in her acting. In this context, a promotion event for this web series was held. Speaking at it, Jyothika said, “I stopped singing duets with romantic films and heroes 20 years ago.
I am 47 years old. I still don’t like films that focus on love like running around heroes. “Now I am choosing to play characters that give importance to women. The web series ‘Dabba Cartel’ also has such a story element.
My character in particular will be deep in this web series. 80 percent of the crew in this film are women. That is very happy,” she said.
