Actress Samantha–“இதுதான் எனது கடைசி படம் என்று யோசிக்கும் அளவிற்கு..” -சமந்தா சொல்வதென்ன?
2010-ம் ஆண்டு தமிழ் வெளியான ‘பானா காத்தாடி’ படத்தின் மூலம் அறிமுகமான சமந்தா தமிழ், தெலுங்கு, இந்தி, ஹாலிவுட் படங்களில் நடித்து வருகிறார்.
கடைசியாக விஜய் தேவரகொண்டாவுடன் அவர் நடித்த ‘குஷி’ படம் ஓரளவிற்கு வரவேற்பைப் பெற்றிருந்தது. இதையடுத்து ஆங்கில வெப்சீரிஸான ‘Citadel’-ல் நடித்திருந்தார். அந்தத் தொடரில் சமந்தா தனது சிறப்பான நடிப்பை வெளிப்படுத்தி இருந்தார். இந்நிலையில் சமீபத்திய பேட்டி ஒன்றில் படங்களின் தேர்வு குறித்து பேசியிருக்கிறார்.
“நிறைய படங்கள் நடிப்பது எளிமையானதுதான். ஆனால் இதுதான் எனது கடைசி படம் என்று என்னை யோசிக்க வைக்கும் அளவுக்கான படங்களில் நடிக்க வேண்டும் என்று நினைக்கிறேன். முக்கியமாக அந்தக் கட்டத்தில்தான் நான் இருப்பதாக உணர்கிறேன். இனிமேல் ஒரு நடிகையாக சவால் நிறைந்த கதாபாத்திரங்களில் நடிக்க மட்டுமே விரும்புகிறேன்.
படங்களைத் தேர்ந்தெடுப்பதில் பல விதமாக யோசித்தே முடிவெடுப்பேன். எனக்கு மன நிறைவு தராத படங்களில் எப்போதும் நான் நடிப்பதே கிடையாது. “ஃபேமிலிமேன் 2, ‘Citadel’-ல் நடித்ததன் மூலம் தன்னை ஒரு நடிகையாக நிரூபிக்க முடிந்தது” என்று தெரிவித்திருக்கிறார்.
“To the point where I think this is my last film..” -What does Samantha say?
Samantha, who made her debut with the Tamil film ‘Bana Kaathadi’ in 2010, has been acting in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi and Hollywood films.
Her last film ‘Kushi’ with Vijay Deverakonda was somewhat well-received. Following this, she acted in the English web series ‘Citadel’. Samantha had shown her excellent performance in that series. In this context, in a recent interview, she talked about the choice of films.
“It is easy to act in many films. But I think I should act in films that make me think that this is my last film. I feel that I am mainly at that stage. From now on, I only want to act in challenging roles as an actress.
I think about it in many ways before deciding to choose films. I never act in films that do not satisfy me. “She said, “Familyman 2 and ‘Citadel’ were the ones that allowed me to prove myself as an actress.”
